Virgin PTFE
Virgin PTFE is an unfilled PTFE material characterised by very low friction and excellent chemical resistance.
It is used across a wide range of industrial applications where chemical resistance, low friction and the inherent properties of PTFE are required.
Typical applications include components for industrial machinery, process equipment, chemical processing and equipment used in food and pharmaceutical production, subject to the relevant grade and application requirements.
PTFE Compounds
For applications requiring properties beyond standard virgin PTFE, Acoplastic develops and manufactures specialized filled PTFE materials under our ACOFLON® brand.
By combining PTFE with selected fillers, material properties can be tailored to application requirements. Depending on the compound, this can improve characteristics such as:
