Our customer is a leading European provider of valve solutions for the energy sector and selected energy-intensive industries. The company is known for its superior product quality, the expertise of its personnel, and reliability as a partner. They deliver their products to more than 70 countries. 

Our customer’s aim is to be a leading provider of mission-critical valve solutions in the transition to a low-carbon future.

THE CHALLENGE

Our customer had a development project where they needed both a metal and a “soft” seat sealing for the valve balls. Finding a supplier that could promptly assist in co-development, samples for validation and testing and manufacturing for production of the “soft” seats was critical. Another challenge was to find a supplier that could provide the necessary technical material expertise to select the right cost-effective material for the class 600 ball valves which should withstand a pressure of approx. 110 bar.

Key challenge was to find the right cost-effective material for the new “soft” seals for a class 600 ball valve, fast samples for testing and capacity for a potential large project. 

SOLUTION AND BENEFITS

Solution: Together with our customer we selected a modified PEEK seal for the new class 600 ball valves. We responded fast with samples for short and long-time testing. We have now started up production, and the Ball valve project is a success in the market.
